South Laredo’s biggest festival is just around the corner, drawing thousands of attendees each year. The highly anticipated annual Laredo College Fall Fest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Laredo College South Campus.
This is the second year that Falcon Bank is proudly sponsoring the event. This year’s Fall Fest will feature special surprises in commemoration of the Laredo College South Campus’ 20th anniversary.
The family-friendly festival has become a cherished tradition for Laredoans and residents of surrounding areas, promising an exciting afternoon filled with free fun for people of all ages.
This free event brings the community together for an afternoon of lucha libre, live music, delicious food, inflatables and much more. Student clubs and organizations will sell food as fundraisers to support their programs, while college departments will run booths with free games and activities.
The Fall Fest’s Halloween costume contest will feature six categories for different age groups, starting at 2 years old, and will begin at 4:30 p.m.
One of the biggest attractions, the lucha libre from local independent wrestling company Lucha Maniaks, will begin at 6 p.m. Wrestlers such as Decimus, Calibus, Lobo Jr., Master Boy Jr., Super Baby, Dark Lion and others will compete in the ring for victory, ensuring an evening filled with thrilling entertainment.
To cap off the event, Banda Jubilo will get the crowd dancing to their beautiful music. The community is invited to enjoy a fun outing with family and friends and supporting Laredo College’s students and programs.
