As evening fell, the crowd gathered at the Laredo College South Campus to embrace the festive spirit alongside the community. From enjoying delicious treats and beverages to experiencing a thrilling snowball fight, every activity led to LC’s tree lighting, which showered The Hill and everyone attending with a dazzling spectacle under the night sky.
As part of a series of events celebrating the South Campus’ 20th anniversary, the ceremony honored Laredo College’s longstanding commitment to providing educational opportunities and free community events. It was a resounding success, bringing families together to enjoy an evening filled with friends and loved ones. Student organizations joined the festivities, fundraising for their clubs and academic programs.
Throughout the evening, children of all ages and their families had the opportunity to meet and take a photo with Santa Claus. As in the previous year, the line to meet Kris Kringle was long but well worth the wait, as the children smiled from ear to ear for the photos.
