End of Summer Job Fair offers career opportunities in high-demand fields

Laredo College, Workforce Solutions for South Texas and the City of Laredo will host an End of Summer Job Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Workforce Solutions for South Texas Office, located at 1406 Jacaman Road, Suite A.
 
This job fair is free and open to the public. Job seekers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resumes and dress professionally.
 
This community-driven event will connect job seekers with opportunities in high-demand industries including healthcare, education, transportation, logistics, business and more. With over 20 employers participating, attendees will have the chance to meet directly with hiring representatives from organizations such as Logistic One, Laredo Independent School District, United Independent School District, City of Laredo, JV Equipment, Jamco Int'l, Danny Herman Trucking, among others.
 
 “We are excited to continue building strong partnerships that open doors for our community,”  LC Director of Continuing Education Brenda Martinez said. “The End of Summer Job Fair is not only a chance to connect with employers, but also a reflection of our commitment to helping Laredo’s workforce thrive.”

This job fair is not just an event–it’s a milestone that reflects new opportunities and a renewed sense of hope for many local families.”
