Once again, Laredo College’s Fall Fest will bring the family-friendly delight of the year’s spookiest season to the community. With free admission on Saturday, Oct. 18, families can enjoy lucha libre, costume contests, live music and, for the first time at Fall Fest, a petting zoo at the LC South Campus grounds.
Generously sponsored by Falcon Bank, the LC Fall Fest is a staple community event that the college is proud to continue hosting.

“Fall Fest has become a beloved tradition in South Laredo, and we’re excited to welcome families back for an evening full of spooky fun, delicious food, festive costumes and safe activities for all ages,” LC Director of Student Life Pedro Rivera said. “Bring the whole family to explore our South Campus, meet friendly faces from our departments, support our amazing student organizations and enjoy a night of laughter, community and Halloween spirit. We can’t wait to see you there for a safe, fun and unforgettable celebration!”
Over the years, thousands have visited the beloved South Campus to dance, laugh and enjoy lucha action with friends and family. This year will be no different, with the addition of a petting zoo and an improved pumpkin patch photo opportunity. Brought from Fun Fest through popular demand, Fall Fest will feature lovable furry creatures, and fall photos will look better than ever with a beautifully arranged, fall-themed pumpkin patch.
Student organizations and LC department booths will feature games, prizes, food and drinks. Proceeds from food and drink sales by student organizations will directly support their initiatives, helping them grow and strengthen their presence on campus.
To take advantage of the night sky, the campus grounds will be decorated with all manner of spooky lights to kick off the Halloween festivities with an eerie glow. With costume contest participants roaming the festival grounds, food and drink in hand, Fall Fest is a perfect way to get into the Halloween spirit.
Moreover, one of the crowd’s favorite attractions, Lucha Maniaks, will return with their usual blend of bone-crunching action and awe-inspiring flips in the ring. The Fall Fest Halloween costume contest will feature six categories for different age groups, starting at age 2.

Laredo College is proud to continue its longstanding partnership with Falcon Bank, which supports the college’s mission of serving students and the community. In September, Falcon Bank announced it will sponsor not only the 2025 Fall Fest but also Fall Fest 2026 and the LC Golf for Education Classic. With this support, the LC community grows stronger and closer each year.
“At Falcon Bank, we believe that family extends beyond our walls and into the communities we serve,” Falcon Bank President and CEO Gilbert Narvaez Jr. said. “Partnering with Laredo College is more than a sponsorship, it’s a reflection of our shared values and a celebration of the people who make Laredo strong. We’re proud to support events that bring our community together and invest in the future of education.”
