Laredo College has long been a bridge between job seekers and employers, and its upcoming Laredo CARES Winter Job Fair is yet another way the college continues to support the local workforce.
The job fair will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Workforce Solutions for South Texas, 1406 Jacaman Rd, Suite A. This event is open to the public, and the community is encouraged to attend.
This is the ninth time the college has partnered with Workforce Solutions for South Texas and the City of Laredo Economic Development Department to host this event, which offers a unique opportunity for local job seekers to connect with over 20 employers representing a variety of industries, including healthcare, logistics, education, government and business.
Attendees will have the chance to network directly with employers, gain valuable insights into in-demand job positions and explore career opportunities in some of the region’s most critical sectors.
“Thanks to our strong partnership with Workforce Solutions for South Texas and the City of Laredo, this job fair continues to connect our Laredo CARES students and community members with employers ready to hire,” LC Director of Continuing Education Brenda Martinez said. “We’re proud to help build a direct pathway from training to meaningful careers.”
Those attending the fair should come prepared with updated resumes, dressed in professional attire and ready to engage with potential employers. The event provides a platform to not only apply for available positions but to also make valuable connections and receive industry-specific guidance.
