With the continued efforts by Laredo College to open doorways to opportunities for students of all ages, a record-breaking 6,152 dual enrollment students from partnered districts enrolled at LC this fall and are a proud part of the over 12,000 students fulfilling their true potential this semester.
According to LC Director of Recruitment and Dual Enrollment Julio Reyes, expanded dual enrollment opportunities have been a highly successful driver for expanded academic and workforce pathways for students. Dual enrollment students find personalized assistance with applications, admissions requirements, testing, registration and the transition from high school to college.
He added that the strong alignment between the college and school districts has led to semester-to-semester growth in dual enrollment participation as well as increased access to on-campus, online and hybrid courses. This alignment has also led to professional development and support for dual enrollment adjuncts and facilitators.
“I am excited to see the continued growth of dual enrollment at Laredo College and the opportunities it creates for our students,” Reyes said. “This success is made possible through collaboration with multiple departments across the college and our school partners. I look forward to building on this progress and continuing to support students as they achieve their academic and career goals.”
School district partners were elated to celebrate this significant achievement and noted Laredo College’s continuous growth and commitment to providing high-quality education to students in our community.

LISD Executive Director of CCMR Monica Calles said that the district is incredibly grateful for its partnership with Laredo College and for its unwavering commitment to providing students with opportunities to earn college credit while still in high school.
