Autumn leaves and spooky vibes arrive alongside LC’s Fall Fest

Once again, Laredo College’s Fall Fest will bring the family-friendly delight of the year’s spookiest season to the community. On Saturday, Oct. 17 from 6 to 10 p.m., families can enjoy lucha libre, costume contests, live music, a petting zoo and more at the LC South Campus grounds.

LC is proud to continue its longstanding partnership with Falcon Bank, whose generous support helps make Fall Fest a beloved community tradition. Over the years, thousands have visited the South Campus to play, laugh, enjoy lucha action and spend time with friends and family, bringing the community closer together through an evening filled with spooky fun and fall vibes.

“Fall Fest is about bringing our community together and creating memories that families can share long after the night is over,” LC Director of Student Life Pedro Rivera said. “We’re excited to welcome everyone to our South Campus once again for an evening filled with fun, great food and activities for all ages. It’s also an opportunity to connect with our students, departments and organizations and experience the energy that makes Laredo College such a special part of our community.”

With free admission, this year will be no different. Families are invited to gather around the Fall Fest pumpkin patch for beautifully arranged fall-themed photos and visit the on-site petting zoo, which will surely make a great evening for the whole family.

Student organizations and LC department booths will feature games, prizes, food and drinks. Proceeds from food and drink sales by student organizations will directly support their initiatives, helping them grow and strengthen their presence on campus.

Moreover, one of the crowd’s favorite attractions, Lucha Maniaks, will return with their usual blend of bone-crunching action and awe-inspiring flips in the ring. The Fall Fest Halloween costume contest will feature six categories for different age groups, starting at age 2.

To take advantage of the night sky, the campus grounds will be decorated with all manner of spooky lights to kick off the Halloween festivities with an eerie glow. With costume contest participants roaming the festival grounds, food and drink in hand, Fall Fest is a perfect way to get into the Halloween spirit.
