Notice of Board Vacancy
The Laredo College Board of Trustees is accepting applications from qualified individuals interested in appointment to fill a vacancy in Trustee Position No. 3.
Pursuant to Texas Education Code §130.082 and Board Policies BBA (LEGAL) and BBC (LOCAL), the Board will consider applications and may appoint an individual to fill the unexpired term at a future Board meeting.
Application Period
Applications Open:
Friday, September 25, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
Application Deadline:
Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
Term of Appointment
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen of the United States.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have continuously resided in the State of Texas for at least twelve (12) months immediately preceding the date of appointment.
- Have continuously resided within the territory from which the office is elected for at least six (6) months immediately preceding the date of appointment.
- Be a registered voter within the territory from which the office is elected.
- Satisfy all other eligibility requirements established by Texas law and Laredo College Board policy.

Applicants must submit:

✅ Current Résumé or Curriculum Vitae
✅ Copy of Government-Issued Photo Identification
Applications that do not contain all required materials may be deemed incomplete and may not be considered.
Letter of Intent
The Letter of Intent should not exceed four (4) pages and should address:
- Interest in serving on the Laredo College Board of Trustees.
- Qualifications, experience, knowledge, and skills relevant to Board service.
- Leadership experience, civic involvement, volunteer service, and commitment to the community.
- Understanding of the mission of Laredo College and the role and responsibilities of a trustee.
- Any additional information the applicant wishes the Board to consider.
