Our experienced team of professionals tells the story of our beautiful two-campus college district through images, words and graphics.
We are the college’s primary news and information source. We celebrate the activities and successes of our students, our faculty and our staff, and we communicate our college’s mission and achievements to the community and beyond. With real-world experience and innovative creativity, we are the college’s resource for marketing, public relations, media relations and more.
Our goal is to support Laredo’s College mission by providing specialized expertise in public relations, marketing, advertising, graphic design and market research.
Requesting Services
The Community & Media Relations Office has many services available to you! Our dynamic team of professionals is on hand to assess your needs and develop a plan that meets those needs and fits in with the college’s marketing and public relations strategic plan.
Please note that all requests for assistance require prior approval from your department head, dean or division leader. Students desiring publicity for their activities should first consult with the director of Student Life or their club advisor.
LC employees can log on to the LC Intranet to access our online request form, along with detailed instructions on how to request our services. For more information on how to request services, please visit our office in P-34/35 or call (956) 721-5140.
Please follow these steps to request marketing and public relations services, allowing at least two weeks advance notice for the scheduling of your request. Requests not received at least two weeks prior to the date needed will be filled as resources allow. For more detailed directions, please check out our Procedures for Requesting Services.
- Obtain approval from your club advisor, dean or division leader.
- Fill out our electronic services request form at least 2 weeks prior to your event or activity. Please allow more time for the scheduling of talk show appearances. You can find the form in the Laredo College intranet. Please contact our office at (956) 721-5140 if you need any assistance.
- Submit any relevant material concerning your request the same day the form is submitted. Email all information related to your request to cmro@laredo.edu.
Prioritizing Requests
Prioritization of requests is determined by the Community and Media Relations staff, taking into account the date the information is received and the number of requests received. Typically, a minimum of two weeks notice is best to allow time to promote your activity or event.
