Stay Safe. Stay Connected with CampusShield.

As we continue to work effectively to provide the safest environment possible for our students, faculty and staff, LC Alert allows the college to communicate important information to our Laredo College community.  In an emergency Laredo College will activate the system by sending telephone calls, emails and text messages simultaneously to the campus community.  Your contact information is deemed private and will be used by the college for official notification or business purposes only.

In order to help you stay up to date in a crisis or critical event that may happen at either the Fort McIntosh Campus or the South Campus please download CampusShield.

Can I cancel if I press the button by mistake?
Yes. If you activate the Emergency Button by accident, you will have the option to cancel the alert right away. This prevents false alarms while giving you confidence that help is available if you really need it.

Yes. CampusShield lets you choose to report safety concerns, suspicious activities, or crime tips without sharing your name. You can also send photos, videos, and text messages—making it easy to report even when calling is not possible.
