CHIEF'S PREFACE
It is my honor and privilege to serve as the Chief of Police for the Laredo College Police Department. As Chief, I recognize that our responsibility extends far beyond enforcing laws. We are entrusted with protecting lives, safeguarding our campuses, supporting our students, faculty, staff, and visitors, and creating an environment where education and personal growth can take place in a safe and secure setting.
When our officers encounter a student walking across campus, a faculty member entering a classroom, a staff member beginning their workday, a visitor attending an event, or a member of our community seeking assistance, we see them all the same way—as Palominos. There is no distinction in the level of service, respect, or protection they deserve. Palominos First means that people come first.
Our motto is simple: “Palominos First” this means placing the safety, well-being, and success of the Laredo College community at the center of everything we do. It means leading with integrity, serving with professionalism, treating people with dignity and respect, and remaining accountable for the trust placed in us.
I remain committed to leading this department with integrity, accountability, and a clear vision for the future. Together, we will continue to build upon our accomplishments and address our challenges.
