Exam Format:
The exam is a computer-based test consisting of 110 multiple-choice questions, including 20 pretest questions that do not count toward the final score. Students have 2 hours and 10 minutes to complete the exam. Testing can be done at an NHA-approved testing center or online through live remote proctoring. Topics include scheduling, insurance and billing, documentation, regulatory compliance, and patient interaction.

Registration Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Clean criminal background
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
