Substitute Teacher Academy for Readiness (STAR) with
Red Cross CPR Certification Program
The STAR program course is designed to prepare the participant with the skills necessary to serve school districts in the very important role of managing the classroom and students in a seamless manner in the temporary absence of the teacher. In this program, participants will learn to identify the student’s needs, behavior modifications, and classroom management. In addition, the course will include CPR Basic Life Support certification. This course is 26 contact hours in duration.
