Patient Care Technician
(PCT/A) Certification Program
The healthcare industry is currently undergoing major changes in the manner in which patient care is administered. A Patient Care Technician must possess the technical skills necessary to work alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to service complex patient care issues, including rehabilitation services, basic bedside care, the collection of laboratory specimens, Phlebotomy blood draws, and EKG procedures. This comprehensive 120-hour Patient Care Technician program will provide you with the basic medical knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to perform direct patient care. Among other lecture topics, this program included medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and baseline nursing practical skills. The Patient Care Technician program will consist of 2 fast paced courses that will provide you with the necessary skills to test for the National Healthcareer Association Patient Care Technician (PCT/A) certification.
Note: Students interested in a Health Certification Program must possess a high school diploma or GED, be proficient in English skills (reading, writing, and speaking), be at least eighteen (18) years of age, and have a clean criminal record.
