Pharmacy Technician
(CPhT) Training Program
The Pharmacy Technician Training Program is designed to prepare the participant for eligibility to become a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through certification from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). In this 84-contact hour course, you will learn topics essential to pharmacy processes, such as assisting the pharmacist in serving patients, receiving and screening prescriptions, and handling medication orders. Through classroom lectures and hands-on labs, you will learn the essential skills of becoming a Pharmacy Technician. Other topics include preparing medication for distribution, compounding prescriptions, I.V. flow rates, interpreting generic and brand-name drugs, and much more.
Note: Students interested in a Health Certification Program must possess a high school diploma or GED, be proficient in English skills (reading, writing, and speaking), be at least eighteen (18) years of age, and have a clean criminal record.
